Yes, I Still Hate Blood On The Dance Floor

This is very old news, but again, people still wonder how I can hate the “band” Blood on the Dance Floor. They claim that they have good meaningful music and music videos like “Rise and Shine” show a huge issue in today’s society. I have seen that video and think the exact opposite. “Rise and Shine” is about a school shooting, but it isn’t awareness, and I will tell you why by comparing it to the music video that takes an issue and shows it gets better. Both involve bullying, one is “Rise and Shine” by crappy BOTDF, and another is “Make It Stop (September’s Children)” by one of my personal favorite bands, Rise Against.

In “Rise and Shine,” what we see is a severely bullied kid. People make fun of him. But there is also hints of the band in the video like someone writing “Blood on the Dance Floor” in their notebook in the beginning, which I guess is okay for the beginning. In this video we see him taunted in class and a teacher doing nothing. Of course Dahvie is in the class wearing his hideous makeup that makes him look like a Kiss reject. The kid is continued to be taunted in the hallways. By now Dahvie is singing in front of the class, but a lyric kind of bothers me. “beat on another kid, not on me.” I get if you are bullied, you want it to stop and are willing to let it go to someone else, but that is no solution to the problem or a solution anyone should look for. By now there are bloody handprints everywhere, and the kid is in the hallway with a gun, obviously disturbed. (What is also obvious is Dahvie’s auto tuned voice). News flashes of Fox News are then shown about school shootings. (Seriously, if you want someone to take you seriously, do a news network that isn’t truthful only 8% of the time) the bullied kid then starts shooting, we see all the kids around him dead and bleeding, not to mention the blood spatter on the camera. Then parents wondering where they were and a teacher saying no one is listening. Next, kids are seen putting guns to their own heads, one goes as far as putting it in his mouth, and the teacher writes “I will not listen to blood on the dance floor” on the board. Then the bullied kid wakes up, and puts the gun away. There is no solution shown but the kid putting the gun in his backpack. None. Then just a bunch of statistics are rattled off about bullying in America, but no actual solution is offered. The kid will probably still shoot up the school.

Rise Against has a lot of music videos that show actual problems in the world, my personal favorite being "Hero of War" and their newest "I Don’t Want To Be Here Anymore."  The one about bullying is called Make It Stop (September’s Children). It is in memory of the ten teenagers who committed suicide in September of 2010 because they were bullied for being gay.

The video starts out with showing three teenagers, two boys and a girl who are inferred to be gay based on the subject matter of the video. The teenagers are seen harassed by their peers, one’s bag is stolen, one’s lunch is spit on and one is cornered in the bathroom while two jocks hold him down and a girl kisses him. The teens later flee, one to a bridge, one to a garage, and another to her room. The three contemplate killing themselves because of the harassment they face daily. After It Gets Better videos play and lead vocalist Tim McIlrath names off five of the teens that killed themselves, they then decide against it and their future is shown, one becomes a congressman, another an artist, and another finds love and gets married. It may look like there is no solution, but the lyrics of the song talk about holding on and bring awareness to the issue. The final verse is make it stop/let this end/all these years pushed to the edge /proud I stand/of who I am/I plan to go on living. More videos from the It Gets Better project are shown, along with the project creator. This video paints a bright future for these three teens and everyone because it does get better.

In comparing these videos, we have two that show a problem, one that portrays it well, and one that shows how it gets better. I can best compare this with Starbucks and Walmart. Rise Against is Starbucks and BOTDF is Walmart. One attempt at being a good corporation (Walmart) and fails miserably while one does an awesome job (Starbucks).

Making another point, Rise Against does an amazing job at just showing issues in today’s society and have truly meaningful lyrics. They have shown how broken the government is, they have shown how broken society is, they have shown what it’s like to serve in the military (yes, “Hero of War,” and I understand it is not always like that, but we have gone to a foreign country and invaded them when we shouldn’t have just because our stupid president wanted to finish what his father started), they have shown what really goes on in the world, the problems we have such as school shootings, violence, terrorists like al-Qaeda, the Taliban, and Boko Haram. Their videos have shown what goes on overseas with the video “Hero of War,” in “Ready To Fall,” we see the effects of pollution on the environment, in “Prayer for the Refugee” it brings awareness to sweatshops and young kids making things along with foreigners that are then marked “Made in USA.” The video for “Audience of One” takes a huge jab at George W. Bush and shows a video depicting a young George W. Bush playing with a miniature world and plays with objects depicting high gas prices, the war in Iraq, the funeral of a soldier, Abu Ghraib prison, the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, deforeststation, house foreclosures, gay marriage, and illegal immigration (all things that happened when he was president ) and then Bush goes to bed in the White House before he smashes the miniature White House lawn the band is performing on. In the odd video for “Savior” it shows how the Republican Party does not give a fuck about endangered species. In “Help Is on The Way,” it shows how bad the response to Hurricane Katrina was and people suffering and having to escape to the roofs of their homes and wait for the helicopter. In their latest video, “I Don’t Want To be Here Anymore” it shows the violence in Chicago (the bands hometown which is apparently becoming the new Detroit), it shows statistics (but unlike BOTDF’s statistic, this is during the video and shows actual footage, and none of it is Fox News) there are 1,800 shootings per year in Chicago (which averages out to 4.9 a day), footage is shown on the drug war and that 120,000 have died in it, the evilness of Boko Haram and that 12,000 people have been killed so far by them, 30,000 elephants are killed every year and poached ivory funds terrorist networks (TAKE THAT KENDALL JONES) elephants are due to be extinct now in 11 years (so thank you Kendall for contributing the extinction of a species that is endangered, so please, go fuck yourself), there has been 1,083 assassinations by ISIS last year and now major Iraqi cities are falling back under extremist control, a video of Obama saying we are now out of Iraq is shown, but then headlines showing we are now going back to help Iraq get control of their country, showing that there is averaged of one school shootings in the Unites States every five weeks, 5,000 youths are lost to violence every year in the U.S, the militia in Iraq is now more than 50,000 strong, 51 million have displaced by conflict worldwide (half of who are children) , 2,000 children are reporting missing every day, hundred have been abducted by Boko Haram since 2009 and since it is so devastating to parents of these children, they are starting to become vigilantes so they can protect them and then a final statistic of the world has only been at peace for 8% of recorded existence. Rise Against won’t give up on trying to make this world a better place, especially with showing what is going on out there. They care and show it.

Next time someone tells me or you that Blood on the Dance Floor is trying to make a difference and help people, please do them a favor and point them in the way of Rise Against. Show them what a band that is trying to make a difference looks like and what they really do. Show them that Tim McIlrath, Joe Principe, Brandon Barnes, and Zach Blair are doing to make this world a better place, not some cliché music video BOTDF made that shows a problem with no solution where the kid is probably going to shoot up the school anyway.

No Uterus, No Say!

                As Rachel Green said in Friends to the doctor who claimed she was having “mild” Braxton Hicks, “No Uterus, no say!” That has become a popular saying among myself when it comes to reproductive rights or pretty much anything to do with the female reproductive system.

                Abortion is a huge issue in America, and congress apparently won’t shut up about it. We have old men claiming females are murdering babies when in fact, they are terminating a pregnancy. A baby is not equal to an unborn fetus. What is crazy is that these lawmakers seem to care more about these unborn fetuses then a child who is actually alive. They will fight to protect the fetus and keep a woman pregnant, even one who cannot afford to take care of a child and know that adoption will most likely end up with the baby being in foster care, and who thinks her best option is terminating the pregnancy. The fight to protect the fetus and then when the woman has to work two jobs to afford food and shelter for the baby and sometimes needs government assistant, they want to tell her she should not have had a child she couldn’t afford and then claiming she is mooching off the government and is very lazy and she should have a better job, one that she couldn’t get because she got pregnant at that early age and couldn’t go to or finish college. Of course that is not all stories of a woman who wants or gets an abortion and all single moms, but it seems to be a very recurring theme. Since it is a very recurring theme, maybe the men who keep trying to make it illegal for a woman to have an abortion should focus on feeding the hungry children who are actually born.

                I will not say abortion is a totally black and white subject. I personally used to only be okay with it in the case of rape and the woman could die because of a health condition. Now, after an extremely vivid dream where I was a pregnant teenager, who got knocked up by a guy I was dating only for a week, and wanted an abortion. (that is obviously very out of character for me, not abortion wise, being pregnant by a guy I dated only a week) I had my whole life ahead of me. College, a career, a future. I could not have been a teen mom in that dream. Waking up that day, my opinion on the issue changed. It wasn’t black or white. Killing or not killing. It is not only about the fetus, but the woman carrying it.

                Another thing anti-abortion leaders in America don’t understand is what it’s like to be pregnant. 77% of anti-abortion leaders are men, and 100% of those men cannot get pregnant. They cannot possibly understand what it is like to be pregnant or why a woman would want an abortion in the first place. It is not to “murder” a fetus. It is because they are too young, don’t have a support system, cannot physically handle a pregnancy, or even don’t want to pass down a hereditary illness. When you don’t have a uterus, you don’t have the equipment to get pregnant. If you can’t get pregnant, how can you fully understand the issue?

                If you are female and are pro-life, then good for you. You have a uterus, therefore most likely are able to get pregnant. Although I believe it is none of my business the decisions a woman makes with her doctor, and does with her body, if a woman is pro-life because of her personal beliefs or maybe she had an abortion earlier in her life and really regrets it, she can fully understand that issue.

                An argument recently brought to my attention that is decent is that although a man can’t get pregnant, he can get someone pregnant. That is a great argument, and yes, according to biology a man can get a woman pregnant, which is why a man should not have the option of abandoning the woman he got pregnant and never coming back. If you want to be a father, then yes, you have a say and try to convince her you will be there and she won’t be doing this alone, she will have a support system and not become a stereotype of single moms in America. But if you are saying you want to be a father, are there, and then either decided after the baby is born (and is in fact a baby, not a fetus) that you cannot possibly be a father and then ditch or you are just claiming you will be there so she won’t get an abortion because apparently you are a pro-life activist, but then don’t care what happens to the child you helped create, that is not okay, and you are the scum of the earth.

                Another thing that would help prevent abortion is if people would stop fighting to have make birth control hard to get for people who can’t afford it or the copay's. So if congress decided to not launch an attack on contraceptives that work 95 to 99% of the time when used right, less woman would want or need to get abortions because they wouldn't be able to get pregnant. It is even showed that a lot of catholic women whose religious leaders are strictly against birth control pills still take it.

                Why is it that we live in a nation where congress would much rather regulate vaginas instead of deadly assault weapons? Why are they so adamant about regulating a female’s body and telling her what she can and can’t do with it? Maybe if they stopped trying to ban something that even though if it was illegal, would definitely still happen? Maybe congress and lawmakers should focus more on stuff that benefit the nation, not them and their personal and most likely religious beliefs. 

JUSTIN BIEBER IS NOT INNOCENT!

The fact that #FreeBieber and #WeWillAlwaysSupportYouJustin is trending on twitter is honestly disgusting. Not because I can’t stand the prick, but because his fans don’t understand the dangers of drunk driving, especially drunk driving when you have smoked pot and taken prescription pills.

Drunk driving is not something to be taken lightly. It is a huge problem, not only in the U.S, but around the world. Innocent people die because someone thinks they can drive when they have had too much to drink. The sad thing is, the driver sometimes survives while the person he hits dies, all because he made the mistake and decided to drive under the influence. Alcohol, weed, and whatever else was in “precious Justin’s” system impaired him as a driver, putting not only his life in danger, but the people around him’s lives too.

Every day in America, 28 people die as a result of a drunk driving accident. In 2012, 10,322 people died in drunk driving crashes, that is one every 51 minutes. The media and the police are not picking on Justin Bieber. They are taking someone off the streets who was a danger to the public safety. He admitted to drinking, taking prescription pills (NEVER A GOOD MIX) and smoking marijuana. HE IS NOT INNOCENT IN THE SITUATION! Getting pist off about how he was pulled over and no one else or how it happens all the time and the cops don’t care, just shows why you are part of what is wrong with society. Police do care when other people drive drunk, which is why they do their best to prevent it. It is why schools have assemblies on the danger, it is why when you are in drivers ed, they drill the dangers in you, it is why they arrest and look out for drivers who seem under the influence and shouldn’t be driving. Here are the facts

• ·         Justin was speeding, going almost double the speed limit
• ·         He admitted to drinking, taking prescription pills, and smoking marijuana (ALL NOT A GOOD MIX AND IMPAIRS DRIVER)
• ·         He resisted arrest

Saying Justin should be free after this is saying that everyone who drinks and drive should be free. To all of you who think that Justin Bieber should be free, I would like you to imagine talking to someone who lost a loved one due to a drunk driver and explaining why it is okay for Justin to get away with it. Honestly, how would you explain to someone who lost someone to drunk driving why it is okay for Justin to not get in trouble for it? If you can honestly do that, you are exactly what is wrong with society. 

Legalization of Pot

                Recently, Colorado started selling marijuana after it being legalized. Within the first day of it being on the market, the industry profited one million dollars. Imagine the profit after one week, one month, and one year. Imagine how this can help the economy.

                Of course, with the legalization of a “drug,” comes the critics. Especially from Fox “News,” especially douche canoe Bill O’Reilly who compared the usage of pot to playing Russian Roulette, but we all know when playing Russian Roulette, you have the chance of dying, while there are no record death from marijuana users. More people are killed yearly by ants then pot. Ants are more dangerous then pot. But that is not where Bill O’Reilly stopped; he then compared it to texting because apparently texting is an addiction too.

                That is right! Douche Canoe O’Reilly claims that texting is a dangerous addiction that can kill and hurt our youth. It makes us get lost and lose reality an motivation to do anything because you are so busy trying to text your friend to tell him about the funny conversation you had with another friend that included something you said about your other friend who just had the best text convo with your other friend who is dating and texted your other friend. Douche Canoe O’Reilly was so adamant about this that he had on a “psychologist” who was adamant texting was destroying today’s youth, just like pot. (I but psychologist in quotes because I know actual psychologists who definitely disagree with him when he claims texting is the worst thing to hit today’s youth besides pot, drugs, and Obama.) there was also a Ph.D who worked at a university in New York who was so confused by O’Reilly bringing on the other guy and had no idea how to respond to the “psychologist’s” rant on texting.

                The thing is when it comes to marijuana; it is not a dangerous drug. It mellows you out and as long as you don’t go into a situation that result in bodily harm, something you wouldn’t do while drinking alcohol, you will be fine. Don’t drive, don’t decide to play with your gun, don’t operate heavy machinery, and don’t decide to juggle chainsaws or fireballs. Don’t do anything frowned upon when drinking legal alcohol which can kill you.

                Alcohol is completely legal. People drink it all the time and it is more dangerous than marijuana. When drinking, people tend to get so drunk they do stupid things and can get violent, of course you have the happy drunks and over sexual drunks that you can see in Danisnotonfire’s video about the five kinds of drunks, but when people get drunk, a lot tend to do some stupid and illegal things like get in bar fights and beat up people and even rape. I am not saying ban alcohol or that people don’t do stupid things while stoned, but they tend to be less dangerous and more chill then some drunks.  They are more chilled out and get the munchies. I bet you pizza places in Colorado is booming right now with all the people stoned getting the munchies.  If people decide to get drunk on holidays and weekends, what is honestly the difference if someone wants to smoke a joint? As long as they aren’t operating heavy machinery or doing it in public, what is exactly the problem?

                I live in Washington State, marijuana is now legal here although we haven’t started selling it yet, and that is still a work in progress. Since the legalization of marijuana, police officers can stop arresting people for smoking a joint and focus on more dangerous crimes like that guy down the street that thinks his wife is his personal slave and when dinner isn’t cooked when he gets home, she deserves to be knocked around. They can go after rapists and actual dangerous drug rings like meth, cocaine, and heroine. As long as you are of the legal age of 21, what is bad with smoking marijuana and it being legalized? It will help the economy, give people jobs and let the police go after dangerous criminals, so please, Douche Canoe Bill O’Reilly and the rest of Fox “News” and conservatives against it, calm your tits and realize it isn’t dangerous and it isn’t a gateway drug to heroine, cocaine and meth. It is totally fine if it is legalized. 

What We Are Worth

Society makes our grades define us. How well we do in school defines us. Others tell us it’s not what defines us. But how are we judged in life? By the jobs we have, what car we drive, how we dress where we live. Everything we do defines us and is how we are judged.

How do we get the career we get, the car we drive, the clothes we wear and the place we live? We get them by going to school to get good grades so we can get that career that will pay for our car, clothes and home. All that goes back to grades. It goes to how well we did in high school. What grades we got our junior year. What extra credit we did. Everything leads back to these four years that we are stuck with kids who chain smoke behind the dumpster, drink until they vomit their guts out, are as mature as a five year old kid, think who they date and what they wear is the most important thing ever, these years do matter more than anything.

All your life, it is drilled into you head you have to get good grades to get into college so you can get the education you need so you can succeed in life. So you are worth something. If you don’t get good grades, you won’t get into college and will end up working at McDonald’s your whole life, have to ride the bus, wear clothes from goodwill and not be able to pay rent on even the smallest apartment. That is what you are worth. It is what is drilled into our brains and what everyone thinks.

Some people tell us, we are not what are grades are. That is not what we are worth, but is that really true? If we can’t get good grades in high school, if we can’t get the best grades possible our junior year, we will not be able to get the education to get the high paying job that will make us worth something in societies eyes. 

They say that what we do defines us. Not just our career, but what we do as people. The good we do and how we treat each other, the lives we touch, but in the end, it sadly goes back to our career and how we got it. How did we get our careers? College education. How did we get to college? The grades we got in high school (most importantly junior year.) it all leads back to that. We get a career based on what we are good at. And if you are not good at school, it is sadly unlikely to find a career that will pay enough so you can make it in the real world and not live in your parents’ house forever.

Sure, there are the people who are lucky, and don’t go to college or aren't good at school and are able to make a career where they do what they are good at and are able to live comfortably, but how likely is that? Not very.

My name is Kristen Marie Kostenick. I have a D in Algebra II, C in U.S History, C in English, and a “Passing” in Writing for Publication. I recently failed a math test and my English midterm. It doesn't matter that I have a good heart. It doesn’t matter that I am a good person. It doesn’t matter that I want to help people. That is what I am worth in society’s eyes.  D’s and C’s. Not smart enough to accomplish much and not good enough to either. 

Blood On The Dance Floor Steals From Skillet

Once again, another rant on how much I cannot stand the “band” that is Blood on the Dance Floor. This will be short.

A little over a year ago, I discovered the amazing band called Skillet. I instantly fell in love with the band and even saw them live about a month ago (Best concert I ever attended).  Skillet is a four piece band with vocalist and bassist John Cooper, rhythm guitarist/keyboardist Korey Cooper, guitarist Seth Morrison and drummer and back up vocalist Jen Ledger. They are an amazing band and despite having a lot of lineup changes have been able to maintain their fan base and still make amazing music. They recently released an album titled Rise, are signed to Atlantic Records, have four popular albums, Collide, Comatose, Awake, and Rise, and were on the Carnival of Madness tour with Papa Roach, In This Moment, We As Human and Shinedown. Although labeled “Christian Rock,” Skillet is more of an “Uplifting Rock,” and “Positive Rock,” and don’t tell you to praise Jesus and God every two seconds. Instead they just have a positive message and positive songs that talk about positive topics such as rise above hate, you are not alone in this world, you are loved, etc. Now, this isn’t me just talking about how amazing the band Skillet it (which it is pretty amazing). This is me ranting on another thing Blood on the Dance Floor has done.

Off the album Comatose is an amazing song titled “The Last Night.” The Last Night talked about a girl who has a hard life and is a self-harmer. Opening up with the line “you come to me with scars on your wrist/you tell me this will be the last night feeling like this” the song goes into saying “this is the last night you’ll spend alone/look me in the eyes so I know you know/I’m everywhere you want me to be/the last night you’ll spend alone/I’ll wrap you in my arms and I won’t let go/I’m everything you need me to be” This is my favorite Skillet song. It is no secret I used to have a self-harm problem, so this song hits home, and is beautiful.

The beginning of the song is an instrumental piano before going into the more lairs of cello and violin Skillet is known to add (while still sounding like a kick ass rock band). Since I listen to this song every day, I know it pretty well. I logged into Facebook one day and noticed a page I follow, (either Blood on the Dance Floor is the Diarrhea of Music or I Hate Blood On The Dance Floor) posted something about them ripping off Skillet, so I read their entire post, and then quickly listened to the beginning of their song “Something Grimm.” The beginning sounds just like “The Last Night.” That pist me off. First they have had issues with plagiarism before by stealing lyrics from an Otep song, but as a huge Panhead (yes, we Skillet fans are called Panheads) it made me hate them even more. (I know in a previous blog I mention how “Monster” by Skillet sounds just like Three Days Grace’s “Animal I Have Become, so I am not looking the other way when it comes to that) I really hope Skillet will find out that BOTDF stole from them and sue, but just like the guy running the Anti BOTDF Facebook page stated, all they would get is hairspray, hair dye and crappy face makeup, and knowing Skillet as being a Christian group, they would take the high road and not sue, and maybe just tell him to not ever do that again before offering to take him to church or something (and hopefully John and Korey would know not to let him around their two kids, because Dahvie is a pedophile and rapist after all)

So Jackass Dahvie and sidekick Jayy, grow some balls, admit to copying someone’s music, whether it’s Otep’s lyrics or Skillet’s melody (I nearly failed Music Lab, so I have no idea what terms are what in music except basics like beat, rhythm, chord, and note.) and then write your own stuff. Stop being a plagiarizing jackass and at least attempt to be original (although you have failed at it so far) Stop copying others work and maybe get a haircut while you’re at it. You need one. Seriously. And maybe do something with that muck on your face.

Why I Hate Blood On The Dance Floor

Yesterday, a freshman came up to me and asked if I liked Blood on the Dance Floor since my school bag is a Black Veil Brides bag. When I replied no, I do not like Blood on the Dance Floor, the Freshman looked at me weirdly then walked off. I honestly don’t care what she thinks. I get judged all the time for the music I do and don’t listen to. I but when it comes to BOTDF, I have a huge opinion.

When I listen to music, the music has to have at least one of two things. First, an “Organic” sound (not computer generated and made with instruments and not a computer program. Also, Dubstep is NOT music) and meaningful lyrics. If the song has none, then, I don’t like it all,

I will admit, that most artists do have at least one good song, as much as I hate Justin Bieber, his song Never Say Never has a good meaning, I hate Selena Gomez but the message of Who Says is awesome considering how messed up society is today with no one ever being good enough, pretty enough or skinny enough. So is Mean by Taylor Swift (check out the Artist Vs. Poet version on Youtube, its pretty awesome) Although, I am not sure about Drake, Nicki Minaj, or Carly Rae Jepson. Definitely not Blood On The Dance Floor.

I honestly can’t see how anyone can listen to them. All there music is about is sex. Seriously, they have a song called Sext Me! all their songs talk about is sex, drugs, and violence. The fact that they have fourteen year old girls worshipping them, makes me a little bit queasy (actually, I’m really queasy, but that is mostly from the stupid pain meds from my foot surgery I just had.). If I had a fourteen year old daughter, she wouldn’t not be allowed to listen to Blood On The Dance Floor. At fourteen, the worst thing I listened to was Eminem, and I only listened to the songs that had meanings, like The Way I Am, Mockingbird, and When I’m Gone.  

It’s not only the music that Dahvie and Jayy make that makes me not like them, it’s how the two act and how they are not decent people.

Not only has Dahvie been accused of rape many times (which I honestly am not sure a lot of it is true simply because some people do accuse famous people of things, i.e Bieber’s “baby momma,” Michael Jackson being a pedophile) I don’t believe that chick Jessi Slaughter, but it is on record that he has been arrested for statutory rape. Most likely because idiotic preteen girls are the only people who are attracted to that creep. (Bad joke, I know)

Not only that, but he is just so mean to people and his fan base is mean.

I am a huge fan of All Time Low; I will defend those four amazing souls to my death. Everyone who knows All Time Low know they are jokesters and never really take a lot of things seriously. Apparently in an interview, Jack said “the one thing I learned from Warped Tour is that music genres don’t even matter anymore. It’s like everyone is just chillin with each other” and Alex added as a joke “unless your Blood On The Dance Floor, then everyone hates you.”

I get it. he got offended by that. But his response was unnesicary. His response was “EF @AllTimeLow all time blow, you guys SUK each other’s dicks and shit on each members chest. You are a bunch of rectal raiding fudge packers”

Yeah. Not cool. He also then tweeted “strong people don’t put others down…they lift them up.”

Which one is it Dahvie, are you “Strong” or are you a douchebag. I am pretty sure he’s a douchebag. Not to mention, a perverted hypocrite. He has been mean to people on Twitter.

As for Dahvie’s partner in crime Jayy Von Monroe, he has said “if you don’t like me cause I’m not a bratty scene boy. Kill yourself teach people to be themselves, and I practice what I preach.” No Jayy, sorry, that is Andy and Black Veil Brides who preach about and do. You guys talk trash and don’t even say nice things to people. If you practice what you preach, then you preach mean things Jayy. Not to mention YOU DON’T TELL SOMEONE TO KILL THEMSELVES! I am not even going to go off on how much that pisses me off. You don’t know how someone’s life is. You don’t know that they could feel like that and telling them to do that is what pushes them to the edge to actually kill themselves. It’s not ok to do that.

Here are a few more random things this pair has done:

·         Jayy flashed his butt on a live webchat with teenage fans.

·         During a concert, Dahvie held up a sign that said “Flash Me”

·         Started a petition to be in Kerrang! Magazine and apparently got pist and got blocked by their twitter. He tweeted saying “oneday I am going to go into your office…smile! Jand take a shit on your desk because your magazine is absolutely rubbish

As you can see, he is not a decent guy, let alone deserves to even have fans. Here are a short list of things that some artists have done that show off their character:

• The sea of hugs at the Sleeping With Sirens concert
• Vic Fuentes wrote a song for his ex-girlfriend. Not a breakup song, but about her and how she had breast cancer. They aren’t dating, but he avidly supports Keep A Breast and said that now she is just trying to pay off her medical bills and he might get the fans involved so he can help her out.
• How Rise Against wrote Make It Stop (September’s Children) in honor of the children in 2011 who commited suicide that September because of bullying because they were gay
• Kellin Quinn’s quote “wrists are for bracelets, not cutting.”
• Austin Carlile saying “if you're a fan of hurting others, talking down to, or trying to bring others down, then never call yourself a fan of mine.”
• Alex Gaskarth saying “I want you to fucking pinky promise me you don’t do it. No fan of mine will kill themselves. Don’t do it, for me. I love you."
• Jack Barakat saying “hey! If someone says “well, your beautiful on the inside.” Just slap them.”
• Andy Biersack stood up for Bryan Stars in an interview after Christofer Drew was a douchebag to him.

That is true character. Being all around awesome people and acting like it and proving it. Something stupid Dahvie and Jayy aren’t.

I would also like to state that in order to write this blog entry, I had to go to this bands Youtube Channel and watch a few videos and read their lyrics. That, and help from my stupid pain meds did make me almost vomit. So understand that I DO know what I’m talking about when it comes to their music and how crappy it is.

The music video for Bewitched, I don’t understand how anyone can watch it, let alone play Dahvie’s love interest without vomiting. He looks uglier that anything I have ever seen in this video. Not to mention most of it is shot in some kind of green screen with some background that looks like hippie vision. The best part of the video was the end part when Dahvie’s girlfriend cheated on him and he got shot. (although, there was no blood)

The video for Rise and Shine takes place at a high school. the classic one kid gets made fun of by everybody else, they hate him. Blah, blah, blah. Dahvie and his stupid friend Jayy are in the hallway uglier than the first video. (I also noticed that his voice is so bad it can’t even be autotuned to be saved) then this kid is in the hall and pulls out a gun, classic scenario when it comes to bullying. It then shows a few flashes of news report for real school shootings (using clips from Fox News) and then all hell breaks loose and the kid starts shooting everybody and Dahvie thinks he’s all badass so he starts screaming. We see the kids who were mean to him all dead and covered in blood. We get close ups of the wounds. Then we see this kid in class, like he didn’t kill anyone, some teacher is writing I Will Not listen to Blood On The Dance Floor and the kid puts the gun in his mouth like he will kill himself. He wakes up, puts the gun away and then some statistics are flashed, making it sound like Jayy and Dhavie give about the bullying problem. (if they did, they wouldn’t be bullies on the internet to there fans and start all he drama they do) no solution to the problem in the video is shown.

Don’t Want To Be Like You Dahvie plays the acoustic guitar on the beach trying to be all sexy (failing epically of course) and is seen having people talk about him behind his back. We get flashed pictures of sunflower fields and beautiful landscapes. Then Dahvie and Jayy are there singing and trying to be all romantic and pretty again, epically failing. Especially by Dahvie’s green hair and skeleton body suit.

In Unforgiven, we hear these two again both auto tuned terribly wearing clothes that make them look like creepers and the music is freaking teachno or electronica but the two have a backup band. Dahvie slits some chick’s throat and has razors on his hand like Freddy Krueger. (Insult to Freddy Kruger)

After that, I had to stop because my eyes started bleeding and ears started swelling from the garbage that came from my computer. It took an entire two hours of listening to Pierce The Veil nonstop in order for my headache to show symptoms of going away. I also took a shower because I felt so weird and icky because of having to listen to them.

I honesty wonder how these two can have a freaking record deal, but bands like Artist Vs. Poet are unsigned while Hey Monday and Automatic Loveletter had very little success, Terry McDermott is still not signed along with Amanda Brown and Liz Davis.

Now, to end this rant on how much I hate this crappy band, I will repeat I HATE THEM and say that THEIR “MUSIC” IS GARBAGE, Dahvie is a douchebag along with Jayy and that they shouldn’t be signed and are not real musicians. They also are mean and not decent people and need to grow up. Maybe go to a rock concert and see what real music is, stop using auto tune, and maybe just go home and stop pretending to be musicians.
