Once again, another rant on how much I cannot stand the “band”
that is Blood on the Dance Floor. This will be short.
A little over a year ago, I discovered the amazing band
called Skillet. I instantly fell in love with the band and even saw them live
about a month ago (Best concert I ever attended). Skillet is a four piece band with vocalist
and bassist John Cooper, rhythm guitarist/keyboardist Korey Cooper, guitarist
Seth Morrison and drummer and back up vocalist Jen Ledger. They are an amazing band
and despite having a lot of lineup changes have been able to maintain their fan
base and still make amazing music. They recently released an album titled Rise, are signed to Atlantic Records,
have four popular albums, Collide, Comatose, Awake, and Rise, and were
on the Carnival of Madness tour with Papa Roach, In This Moment, We As Human
and Shinedown. Although labeled “Christian Rock,” Skillet is more of an “Uplifting
Rock,” and “Positive Rock,” and don’t tell you to praise Jesus and God every two
seconds. Instead they just have a positive message and positive songs that talk
about positive topics such as rise above hate, you are not alone in this world,
you are loved, etc. Now, this isn’t me just talking about how amazing the band
Skillet it (which it is pretty amazing). This is me ranting on another thing
Blood on the Dance Floor has done.
Off the album Comatose is an amazing song titled “The Last
Night.” The Last Night talked about a girl who has a hard life and is a self-harmer.
Opening up with the line “you come to me with scars on your wrist/you tell me
this will be the last night feeling like this” the song goes into saying “this
is the last night you’ll spend alone/look me in the eyes so I know you know/I’m
everywhere you want me to be/the last night you’ll spend alone/I’ll wrap you in
my arms and I won’t let go/I’m everything you need me to be” This is my
favorite Skillet song. It is no secret I used to have a self-harm problem, so
this song hits home, and is beautiful.
The beginning of the song is an instrumental piano before
going into the more lairs of cello and violin Skillet is known to add (while
still sounding like a kick ass rock band). Since I listen to this song every
day, I know it pretty well. I logged into Facebook one day and noticed a page I
follow, (either Blood on the Dance Floor is the Diarrhea of Music or I Hate
Blood On The Dance Floor) posted something about them ripping off Skillet, so I
read their entire post, and then quickly listened to the beginning of their
song “Something Grimm.” The beginning sounds just like “The Last Night.” That pist
me off. First they have had issues with plagiarism before by stealing lyrics
from an Otep song, but as a huge Panhead (yes, we Skillet fans are called
Panheads) it made me hate them even more. (I know in a previous blog I mention
how “Monster” by Skillet sounds just like Three Days Grace’s “Animal I Have
Become, so I am not looking the other way when it comes to that) I really hope
Skillet will find out that BOTDF stole from them and sue, but just like the guy
running the Anti BOTDF Facebook page stated, all they would get is hairspray,
hair dye and crappy face makeup, and knowing Skillet as being a Christian
group, they would take the high road and not sue, and maybe just tell him to
not ever do that again before offering to take him to church or something (and
hopefully John and Korey would know not to let him around their two kids,
because Dahvie is a pedophile and rapist after all)
So Jackass Dahvie and sidekick Jayy, grow some balls, admit
to copying someone’s music, whether it’s Otep’s lyrics or Skillet’s melody (I nearly
failed Music Lab, so I have no idea what terms are what in music except basics
like beat, rhythm, chord, and note.) and then write your own stuff. Stop being
a plagiarizing jackass and at least attempt to be original (although you have
failed at it so far) Stop copying others work and maybe get a haircut while you’re
at it. You need one. Seriously. And maybe do something with that muck on your
face.

Yesterday, a freshman came up to me and asked if I liked
Blood on the Dance Floor since my school bag is a Black Veil Brides bag. When I
replied no, I do not like Blood on the Dance Floor, the Freshman looked at me
weirdly then walked off. I honestly don’t care what she thinks. I get judged
all the time for the music I do and don’t listen to. I but when it comes to
BOTDF, I have a huge opinion.
When I listen to music, the music has to have at least one
of two things. First, an “Organic” sound (not computer generated and made with instruments
and not a computer program. Also, Dubstep is NOT music) and meaningful lyrics.
If the song has none, then, I don’t like it all,

I will admit, that most artists do have at least one good
song, as much as I hate Justin Bieber, his song Never Say Never has a good
meaning, I hate Selena Gomez but the message of Who Says is awesome considering
how messed up society is today with no one ever being good enough, pretty
enough or skinny enough. So is Mean by Taylor Swift (check out the Artist Vs.
Poet version on Youtube, its pretty awesome) Although, I am not sure about
Drake, Nicki Minaj, or Carly Rae Jepson. Definitely not Blood On The Dance Floor.
I honestly can’t see how anyone can listen to them. All
there music is about is sex. Seriously, they have a song called Sext Me! all
their songs talk about is sex, drugs, and violence. The fact that they have
fourteen year old girls worshipping them, makes me a little bit queasy
(actually, I’m really queasy, but that is mostly from the stupid pain meds from
my foot surgery I just had.). If I had a fourteen year old daughter, she
wouldn’t not be allowed to listen to Blood On The Dance Floor. At fourteen, the
worst thing I listened to was Eminem, and I only listened to the songs that had
meanings, like The Way I Am, Mockingbird, and When I’m Gone.
It’s not only the music that Dahvie and Jayy make that makes
me not like them, it’s how the two act and how they are not decent people.
Not only has Dahvie been accused of rape many times (which I
honestly am not sure a lot of it is true simply because some people do accuse
famous people of things, i.e Bieber’s “baby momma,” Michael Jackson being a
pedophile) I don’t believe that chick Jessi Slaughter, but it is on record that
he has been arrested for statutory rape. Most likely because idiotic preteen
girls are the only people who are attracted to that creep. (Bad joke, I know)
Not only that, but he is just so mean to people and his fan
base is mean.
I am a huge fan of All Time Low; I will defend those four
amazing souls to my death. Everyone who knows All Time Low know they are
jokesters and never really take a lot of things seriously. Apparently in an
interview, Jack said “the one thing I learned from Warped Tour is that music
genres don’t even matter anymore. It’s like everyone is just chillin with each other”
and Alex added as a joke “unless your Blood On The Dance Floor, then everyone
hates you.”
I get it. he got offended by that. But his response was
unnesicary. His response was “EF @AllTimeLow all time blow, you guys SUK each
other’s dicks and shit on each members chest. You are a bunch of rectal raiding
fudge packers”
Yeah. Not cool. He also then tweeted “strong people don’t
put others down…they lift them up.”
Which one is it Dahvie, are you “Strong” or are you a
douchebag. I am pretty sure he’s a douchebag. Not to mention, a perverted
hypocrite. He has been mean to people on Twitter.
As for Dahvie’s partner in crime Jayy Von Monroe, he has
said “if you don’t like me cause I’m not a bratty scene boy. Kill yourself
teach people to be themselves, and I practice what I preach.” No Jayy, sorry,
that is Andy and Black Veil Brides who preach about and do. You guys talk trash
and don’t even say nice things to people. If you practice what you preach, then
you preach mean things Jayy. Not to mention YOU DON’T TELL SOMEONE TO KILL
THEMSELVES! I am not even going to go off on how much that pisses me off. You
don’t know how someone’s life is. You don’t know that they could feel like that
and telling them to do that is what pushes them to the edge to actually kill
themselves. It’s not ok to do that.

As you can see, he is not a decent guy, let alone deserves

because of bullying because they were gay
Kellin Quinn’s quote “wrists are for bracelets,
not cutting.”
Austin Carlile saying “if you're a fan of
hurting others, talking down to, or trying to bring others down, then never
call yourself a fan of mine.”
Alex Gaskarth saying “I want you to fucking
pinky promise me you don’t do it. No fan of mine will kill themselves. Don’t do
it, for me. I love you."
Jack Barakat saying “hey! If someone says “well,
your beautiful on the inside.” Just slap them.”
Andy Biersack stood up for Bryan Stars in an
interview after Christofer Drew was a douchebag to him.
That is true character. Being all around awesome people and
acting like it and proving it. Something stupid Dahvie and Jayy aren’t.
I would also like to state that in order to write this blog
entry, I had to go to this bands Youtube Channel and watch a few videos and
read their lyrics. That, and help from my stupid pain meds did make me almost
vomit. So understand that I DO know what I’m talking about when it comes to
their music and how crappy it is.
The music video for Bewitched, I don’t understand how anyone
can watch it, let alone play Dahvie’s love interest without vomiting. He looks
uglier that anything I have ever seen in this video. Not to mention most of it
is shot in some kind of green screen with some background that looks like
hippie vision. The best part of the video was the end part when Dahvie’s
girlfriend cheated on him and he got shot. (although, there was no blood)
The video for Rise and Shine takes place at a high school.
the classic one kid gets made fun of by everybody else, they hate him. Blah,
blah, blah. Dahvie and his stupid friend Jayy are in the hallway uglier than
the first video. (I also noticed that his voice is so bad it can’t even be
autotuned to be saved) then this kid is in the hall and pulls out a gun,
classic scenario when it comes to bullying. It then shows a few flashes of news
report for real school shootings (using clips from Fox News) and then all hell
breaks loose and the kid starts shooting everybody and Dahvie thinks he’s all
badass so he starts screaming. We see the kids who were mean to him all dead
and covered in blood. We get close ups of the wounds. Then we see this kid in
class, like he didn’t kill anyone, some teacher is writing I Will Not listen to
Blood On The Dance Floor and the kid puts the gun in his mouth like he will
kill himself. He wakes up, puts the gun away and then some statistics are
flashed, making it sound like Jayy and Dhavie give about the bullying problem.
(if they did, they wouldn’t be bullies on the internet to there fans and start
all he drama they do) no solution to the problem in the video is shown.
Don’t Want To Be Like You Dahvie plays the acoustic guitar
on the beach trying to be all sexy (failing epically of course) and is seen
having people talk about him behind his back. We get flashed pictures of
sunflower fields and beautiful landscapes. Then Dahvie and Jayy are there
singing and trying to be all romantic and pretty again, epically failing.
Especially by Dahvie’s green hair and skeleton body suit.
In Unforgiven, we hear these two again both auto tuned
terribly wearing clothes that make them look like creepers and the music is
freaking teachno or electronica but the two have a backup band. Dahvie slits
some chick’s throat and has razors on his hand like Freddy Krueger. (Insult to
Freddy Kruger)
After that, I had to stop because my eyes started bleeding
and ears started swelling from the garbage that came from my computer. It took
an entire two hours of listening to Pierce The Veil nonstop in order for my headache
to show symptoms of going away. I also took a shower because I felt so weird
and icky because of having to listen to them.
I honesty wonder how these two can have a freaking record
deal, but bands like Artist Vs. Poet are unsigned while Hey Monday and
Automatic Loveletter had very little success, Terry McDermott is still not
signed along with Amanda Brown and Liz Davis.
Now, to end this rant on how much I hate this crappy band, I
will repeat I HATE THEM and say that THEIR “MUSIC” IS GARBAGE, Dahvie is a
douchebag along with Jayy and that they shouldn’t be signed and are not real
musicians. They also are mean and not decent people and need to grow up. Maybe
go to a rock concert and see what real music is, stop using auto tune, and
maybe just go home and stop pretending to be musicians.
What the Hell? Why am I the last person to hear about Adam
leaving Three Days Grace and it’s been almost two months? What the hell? I had
to figure out on Tumblr while trying to figure out how to freaking work it!
This is just awful! I have been a Three Days Grace fan since
seventh grade! Ok, that is not that long ago and it was far into their career
but that is when I finally explored the genres of music and was able to
actually stop conforming and being forced to like what society wanted me to
listen to (Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Kelly Clarkson, Ke$ha, etc.) my friend
recommended them to me and I fell in love (thank you Taylor!). They played a
big part of my life the following year when I went through one of the worst
things that ever happened to me. The song Never Too Late helped me out so much
and I will always be loyal to Three Days Grace and Adam Gontier for helping me
when I needed it most. The album One X is my favorite because I can relate to
most of their songs and feel connected. I look up to Adam with so much respect after
what he has been through. My addiction wasn’t the same and he had it way worse,
but I still have a lot of respect for him and the album.
After hearing why Adam left, I can understand it. He did battle
a drug habit so obviously he needs to do what is best for him, and if staying
in the band wasn’t that then he should leave. The album Transit to Venus
definitely wasn’t my favorite, I only like a few songs off of it honestly,
Chalk Outline, Anonymous, and The High Road. Hearing that Adam only felt a few were
songs on it were from his heart, the album made sense to me I guess considering
a lot of One X was written while Adam was in rehab.
I know Three Days Grace wasn’t just Adam, its Barry, Brad
and Neil, but I am with Adam on this one. I see why he left and I will continue
to support him and can’t wait to buy his solo album. I honestly don’t see Three
Days Grace succeeding without Adam. Matt Walst is finishing up the rest of
their tour since Adam left, and I heard his version of Riot and nearly cried. I
adore the members of Three Days Grace, but if they release another album, I
most likely won’t buy it or support it. Mostly because I like the songs that
come from Adam’s heart better, along with Adam is just an amazing vocalist and I
don’t feel anyone can compete with him when it comes to the band.
I honestly can’t wait for Adam’s solo album. If it’s
anything like One X lyric wise, I will love it, even if it has some of the
sound of Life Starts Now and lyric wise for a bit of it, I will love it.
Adam, keep staying awesome and best of luck to you in your
solo career. As for the rest of Three Days Grace, I hope you guys can find a
decent singer, but no one can beat out Adam Gontier. No one.
Sorry such a late response, but this recently came to my
attention after this was a related video to A.P.T’s The Malarkey song.
You said you were voting for Romney/Ryan 2012. I have no
problem with that. You have your opinion, do what you want. You are given the
right to vote for a reason. Democracy. But your reasons for voting for him were
very ignorant and very wrong. Stop watching Fox News.
You wanted to vote for him because he was hot and your cat’s
name was Mitts. Not only is that sad, but also a waste of a vote since it went
to someone who was not fully educated on the issues. You said you were right,
right, and right. No, you were wrong, wrong and wrong.
Obama simply cannot take away your right to be catholic and
is not against Christians. Obama is a Christian himself. (No, he is not a
Muslim, and even if he was, why would it matter? It is a peaceful
religion!)The constitution is a
beautiful document that I love. Our first amendment right gives us freedom to
religion along with speech, assembly, petition and press. Even if somehow Obama
wanted to take away your right to being catholic, he couldn't. The president can’t
pass everything without it going through the congress and senate. Since there
are a majority of republican’s in there, obviously they would be against, along
with democrats. You simply cannot take a way a right we have according to the
constitution. Obama would get impeached before he could do any of that. Also,
he is not forcing you to commit sin! (Also, only media brainwashing is Fox) you
talked about Democrats supporting medications that lead to suicide. That is not
correct, all medications have side effects, and some are suicidal thoughts and
tendencies. They are rare and also depend on the dosage. I am on three antidepressants.
One for my anxiety, one for my severe depression and the other balances them
out. If I wasn’t on the anti-depressant Trisha, I would be dead right now and I
am pretty sure you can guess why. I had a too high of dosage last year that
lead to thoughts and the doctor quickly fixed that. So, please educate yourself
on the side effects of medications.
You're father and preachers don’t count as information
sources, they are all biased and unreliable sources. MSNBC and Fox are also
very biased. Try going to multiple online resources and watch the debates (even
though Romney lied his ass off) and keep staying tuned to as much media that is
mostly unbiased. Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity are working with Fox and Fox is
banned in Canada because it is all lies. Don’t believe me? Google it! Seriously.
Just do it like you told me to Google stuff that turned out to be complete lies
(shocker!).
Obama did promise change. He brought it. He was left a mess
by the stupid Bush government and looks how much he has done since he inherited
that mess. The unemployment rate is down, he has created jobs and he is doing
the best anyone can do when it comes to the economy considering how much
republicans are letting him do.
You said you weren’t comparing Obama to Hitler, you did. Until
Obama murders over a million people because of their religion, don’t compare
them. So do not use them in the same sentence. Seriously. Obama is not a
dictator.
Also, you need to research what “Satire” means. Satire is
using sarcasm, irony and ridicule to denounce something. It is taking a view of
one side and making fun of it by exposing how stupid it is. Below, I am going
to include the satire I wrote for my Writing for Publication class last year on
gay marriage.
Gay Marriage should be illegal for so many reasons. Stupid Barack
Obama is just going around allowing it! We must fight for it to stay between a
man and a woman! Here are some reasons why it must remain illegal.
1. We have to protect marriage. It is a holy thing that
binds two people together. Gays will just ruin that! We need to protect
marriage so Britney Spears can get married for 55 hours and Kim Kardashian can
for 72 days.
2. What's next? Goats? Cars? My imaginary llama Lorenzo? Yes
because a goat, car and imaginary llamas have the same legal standing as a US
citizen and can sign a marriage certificate.
3. If gays can marry, they could have their ceremony in a
church! Letting them get married in a church will be expanding the tolerance
and force us to teach our children more tolerance! We all know children are
meant to be full of hate and intolerance.
4. Everyone knows that marriage is only between a man and a
woman. Not love and love. That is why we still have arranged marriages all the
time! Just to make sure everyone gets married to the opposite sex and no one is
"in love"
5. Marriage is a religious right! That is why we don't let
atheists and Satanists get married. The laws of the religion ALWAYS come before
the laws of the land. That is why we still burn people at stake for prostitution
6. If you want to get married then just be straight! Being
gay is a choice, just like being black, Mexican, of Asian. All those scientist
who have proved the gay brain is different than the straight brain are all just
liars trying to ruin everything by present gays and lesbians with equality.
7. Everyone knows that forever this country has been all
about no equality whatsoever! That is why blacks, Asians, and Mexicans do not
have the same drinking fountains as the beautiful white race and women still
are unemployed and only work at home.
8. it’s unconstitutional! There is no way gay marriage is constitutional!
It is as bad as killing somebody! The preamble is only gives us the right to
life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! There is no way gay marriage is the
pursuit happiness (even though gay means "happy")
That might be a little too straight forward, but when I came
across both your videos, I honestly thought it was full on satire because of
how stupid your reasons are but you said you were totally serious. And then
said satire was used and how if that video was totally serious, what part was
satire?
You then said Obama won the first time because of how he
looked, and how he presented himself, and how he spoke and engaged people. I will
be the first to admit I thought it would be awesome to have a black president. So,
back then I researched the issues for the paper I had to write that year for
Health class and decided Obama was the best choice for the issues and his views
on them and how they matched mine. (Not to mention, Sarah Palin just scared the
hell out of me) Obama won because he was the obvious choice in 2008 and was the
obvious choice in 2012. I am sorry to inform you, but your hot Mitt Romney doesn’t
care about you. You are a woman. He only cares about old rich white men. Not to
mention he flip flops on everything. He is pro-choice one minute, then pro-life
and then pro-choice and then pro-life. He can’t make up his mind!
I would like to inform you, I am a Christian who believes in
God and Jesus and the bible. After doing research, I would have voted for
Obama. He supports women, minorities, gays and the less fortunate. He doesn’t
want to go to war when not needed and he understands human rights. I believe in
God and Jesus but also believe that gay people are human beings and deserve to
be treated as them. I also am pro-choice. I do not want an old white man tell
me how my body works and what I can and can’t do with it. I don’t believe
abortion should be used as a form of birth control, but I honestly believe it
is better than having a child living on the streets starving because republicans
don’t give a fuck and won’t help them out because they don’t believe in “handouts”
because it will cause “dependency.”
So please Trisha, do not vote ever again when you are being
this ignorant on the subjects. GO TO UNBIASED SOURCES! Stop going to Fox News
and before you preach about the “evil” of Obama, realize that he is not evil
and not a dictator and certainly CANNOT take away your freedom of religion.
Today,
I decided to Google quotes from one of my favorite singers (the lead singer and
rhythm guitarist of All Time Low, Alex Gaskarth) on the subject of suicide
because I wanted to verify I quote I found by him on tumblr. Expecting to see
random things about the bands song “Lullabies,” (which is about his older brother,
Tom, who did commit suicide) I did not. I saw tumblr posts on rants about
Directioners. Considering I am not a fan of One Direction at all, I decided why
not find another reason to hate them. And boy, do I hate them now!
I knew
that Alex tweeted something bad about a One Direction song, and I agree with it
completely and so do many online websites. But like always, super fans of teen
sensations take things TOO far just
like they did with the Drake Bell and Justin Bieber thing. Something was
tweeted that definitely shouldn’t have been. People started sending Alex death
threats just like Beliebers with Drake, but they stepped over the line.
They
told Alex to kill himself.
Being a
Hustler (All Time Low fan) and someone who has had a dark time in their life
where they saw that as an option, I found that not only offensive but one of
the meanest things someone can say to someone. But what made my blood boil was
people bringing his brother into this. One tweet stated “NO WONDER HE KILLED
HIMSELF, HE HATED ALEX TOO.” Pardon my French but that just person needs to
shut the hell up! Alex’s brother did not kill himself because he hated Alex and
saying that is not only mean and cruel and only shows your character as an ignorant
idiot. I get it; you don’t like how he dissed your precious One Direction. Just
wishing death upon him is crossing the line, but telling him to kill himself
like his brother and telling him his brother did it because he hated Alex, that
crosses the line so much it’s just a dot in the distance that can barely be
seen. Seriously? Saying something like that. Not only is suicide something you
don’t even joke about, but telling someone who had nothing to do with it they
caused it, that is unacceptable.
So
hopefully people can report or just tell this person how stupid and insensitive

because he doesn’t have a world tour. As I recall, All Time Low has toured all
over the world, and I am quoting Alex when I saw “we have been too all the
continents except for Africa and Antarctica.” All Time Low has been all over,
they have five albums, The Party Scene, So Wrong, Its Right, Nothing Personal
(My personal favorite), Dirty Work, and Don’t Panic. All great albums,
(although Dirty Work wasn’t the best music wise, but was excellent lyric wise,
oh, and I Feel Like Dancin’ was a Satire song, not them conforming to society’s
norm of tasteless music about nothing). All Time Low has accomplished a lot in
their near ten years as a band. They may not have had any number one hits on
the radio but there music is amazing and I would much rather them be where they
are then as big as One Direction. Most number one hit makers who are adored by
billions get two full of themselves and are brats not to mention let the fame go
to their head! After touring the world last year, the day after they got back,
drummer Rian Dawson helped his parents remodel their kitchen. Instead of
sleeping all day and being a lazy bum like me when there is no school, he
helped his parents remodel their kitchen. How I know this, he tweeted about it.
Why did he do it? Because he is well grounded. (Not grounded in trouble, but he
knows that he isn’t larger than life, he is a well-rounded person who doesn’t
let the hundreds of bras being thrown on stage get to his head). All Time low
is amazing and the fact that someone would say something like that to Alex is
just so wrong and bringing his brother into it is just cruel. Never speak ill
of the dead and don’t tell someone that a loved one killing themselves is their
fault.

what I found out after learning Directioners wish that to Alex Gaskarth, but
they wish it to Kenadee Lucker to kill herself also. Kenadee Lucker? She is the
daughter metal band Suicide Silence’s lead singer, Mitch Lucker’s daughter. She
is only five years old. Yes, Directioner’s are wishing for a five year old girl
to kill herself. Don’t believe me? Here are a few screen shots of them wishing
death upon Kenadee and saying mean things about Mitch and the band.
Yeah, people said those things. So go find them on twitter
and report them, or harass them, I know it’s not being the bigger person in the
situation, but hey, I will do that when someone wishes death on a five year old
because she is sad her dad died.
Also, I would like to touch the subject on how metal music
is “stupid.” If you think that is, then good for you, now please run along and
find something productive to do! Now here is a little shout out to user
@IDslayz, grow the hell up and get a life. Stop saying “emo people” should
learn from Mitch Lucker and go kill ourselves. I am going to quote Andy
Biersack of Black Veil Brides when I say that, “don't allow them to call you
emo or whatever else, those things don't exist, that’s the term of a guy who
trolls message boards." Yes, Emo is the term of a guy who not only trolls
message boards, but apparently twitter too. Suicide Silence was and is an
amazing band and Mitch was a very amazing vocalist. Now onto your next tweets,
“if people cared about suicidal silence, I would of heard of him.” Obviously
people care about him and their music and think their awesome or else they wouldn’t
be famous and touring a lot. “how was Mitch Lucker an inspiration, he cut
himself, plus he was ugly.” He was an inspiration because he has inspired
people in the music industry, every artist has an inspiration. He was one to
many bands and people wanting to be like them and have a similar sound and
success. As for cutting, I would love it if you would educate yourself on the
subject before making a comment; I am not going to respond to someone so
ignorant on the subject. As for ugly, he wasn’t. he was good looking. You just
obviously are attracted to scrawny British boys who can’t sing that well and
only have somewhat of a decent song. Next tweet, no they did not win 4 VMA’s. Awards
don’t mean you are the best band out there, some of the best bands don’t have
many awards, but just great music, take Rise Against for example, they haven’t
won many, but Tim McIlarth has an amazing voice and is backed up with the rest of
Rise Against, they have won two awards but have been nominated for six. They are
still successful and have obviously made a lot of money since they are still
around. next tweet, “It’s not my fault Mitch Lucker died, he should have made
better music, he was obviously jealous of One Direction success.” Suicide
Silence has over two million Facebook fans and have been around for ten years,
One Direction has been around for like two. I highly doubt they even have heard
of One Direction and if so, it was because Mitch’s daughter. Next tweet by you.

earlier I am not going to waste my time telling an ignorant person the reason
for cutting, so Google it and listen to someone who has been there and done
that when they explain it. and suicide is nothing to joke about and be happy

are the best, even better then suicidal silence.” First off, its SUICIDE

whining?” how classy. Yes, of course a five year old girl is going to miss her
dad when he dies unexpectedly in a motercyle accident. Telling her to kill
herself is yet again, crossing the line so far that it’s a dot in the distance.
No, it’s not even a dot in the distance, its miles and miles away. What kind of
sick person wishes for a five year old to kill herself? So please, go find her
and spam her. it would bring me great pleasure. Seriously.
Why is it that Dircetioner’s are doing this to people? Wishing
death and suicide on people who don’t deserve it, one being a suicide victim’s
brother and the other being a five year old girl. Why is it that our generation
is even stooping so low. First Belieber’s go after Drake Bell, now Directioner’s
after Alex Gaskarth and a five year old
girl.
People claim that listening to metal music is “dangerous”
and “evil” yet I don’t send artist’s death threats for not agreeing with my opinion,
neither do my other friends who listen to that genre. Why do the Beliebers and
Directioners take this too far and not get in trouble? There are twelve year
olds out there telling people to commit suicide all to defend their “precious”
British boy band.
Grow up. Seriously, grow the hell up and learn to respect
people and don’t send death threats and death upon people and telling them to
kill themselves.
Alex Gaskarth is an amazing singer and guitarist. He didn’t deserve
any of that for an opinion and his dead brother didn’t need to be brought into
it. Alex is amazing and inspiration to many and so is his music which has saved
countless lives including mine. The bands sarcastic attitudes and love for
their fans and love for fun is amazing and what makes them special.
Kenadee Lucker is an innocent bystander in this and the fact
that someone told her to kill herself is unacceptable. She is five years old
and just lost her dad. The fact that someone would do that just boggles my
mind. People need to have souls and realize when they are being cruel and you
really should go learn how to be a decent human being and until then, refrain
from using social networking and maybe tape your mouth shut.
I really hope this generation can get its crap together and
stop being cruel to people and doing that. One can only hope that Directioner’s
and Belieber’s can grow the hell up and become decent human beings.
The 2012 election is coming up fast and the race is super
close. For once in my life, I actually fear learning the outcome. I can’t
imagine a country ran by republican Mitt Romney. Not only is he a flip-flopping
hypocritical jackwagon, he just is too rich to know lower class and middle
class problem. Sadly, I am only fifteen and I cannot vote in this election, but
if I could, I would vote for Democrat Barack Obama.
I would
vote for Obama for many reasons. One being his support for LGBT rights and
getting rid of DOMA and Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. Because of that, one of my
closest friends, Maia is now able to get married and join the military if she
wants to. Mitt Romney plans on amending the constitution banning same sex
marriage and getting rid of her right to marry or even be in a civil union or
domestic partnership and I am not sure if he has stated he wants to bring back Don’t
Ask, Don’t Tell, but I according to his beliefs on what he has said so far, I am
pretty sure he would bring it back, which a lot of republican’s tried to block
it when Obama wanted to get rid of it.
President
Obama is ok with abortion. I am not a huge fan of abortion when it comes to
someone who uses that as their birth control and continues to get them more than
once. If there is a way the baby can have a good life, I think you should try
to carry the baby to term but it’s not up to me to enforce that or advocate for
that when it is truly a woman’s choice. I also think that if it was rape or
incest (which pregnancy can happen as a result of that unlike what Republican
douche Todd Akin says about that “legitimate rape” crap and this is what Romney
keeps flipping on) I support the woman’s right to choose even more because of
that and I also really support it if the woman’s life is in danger. Unlike a
lot of Republican/conservatives, I don’t see rape and “another form of
conception.” And I don’t think the government should tell you what to do with
your body. Vice President Joe Biden doesn’t really believe in abortion due to
his religion, but he doesn’t think that gives him the right to force his
beliefs on others while douche bag Paul Ryan does and has stated he is prolife
because of a personal and religious view and is the one that stated “rape is
just another form of conception,” he supports legitimate rape, and thinks that
a rapist has the right to visit and see the child he fathered while violating
an innocent woman.
Romney
has practically already declared war on Iran when we don’t even have
substantial proof they have nuclear weapons. Experts even say that they don’t
and are not “four years closer” to getting a nuclear weapon. I agree with Obama
when he states that war should be a last resort while Romney is all fine and
dandy with starting another war and sending out more soldiers just to die on
the front line for a war that we shouldn’t even be fighting. I hate war with a
burning passion but understand that we do have to go to war to help keep our
country safe and help others, but if it is pointless and just making us even more
enemies with a country who we have no proof is even doing the things we are
accusing them of, then I am against it. I am actually watching to movie Saving
Private Ryan (good movie, I recommend it because it has Matt Damon in it and I love
Matt Damon, but it isn’t for people who can’t watch bloody shootouts and many
deaths in a scene that lasts over ten minutes long) as I write this and it just
makes me angrier that he is ok with war and even supported the Iraq one and
just seems all fine and dandy with it.
Romney
is not even ok with women making the same salary as men even if we are working
the same job. Hello? Just because I have boobs and don’t have a dick, doesn’t
mean that I shouldn’t make as much money as a man if we have the exact same job
position for the same company. I am an equal and deserve to be treated as one.
I deserve the same salary and same benefits. Luckily, in Washington State, it
is illegal for a man to make more money than a women when they have the exact
same job position, but I am planning on going to Montana later in life and I
don’t know if it is illegal there for a man to make more than a woman but with
Montana being a mostly conservative republican state, one would think it is
likely that law isn’t there and it is legal for men to make more than women.
Honestly, if feels like it’s the women’s rights movement again back in the
nineteen twenties and that time. Yes, we can vote and have rights, but I think
that I should have the right to make the same amount of money as a man while
Romney doesn’t think that and even some hard core republicans and conservatives
believe that women aren’t “smart enough” to vote. And guess who said that. A
woman! Yes, a woman said that some women weren’t smart enough to vote.
As a
human being, I believe everyone has the right to be healthy, even if they are
born with a pre-existing medical condition. Romney will deny them healthcare,
not only does that go against my morals and the Universal Declaration of Human
Rights, but it honestly makes him the main character in the six Saw movie. Yes
people, I am comparing Mitt Romney to a character in a Saw movie. The six one
is my favorite because I believe the guy who went through the trap sort of
deserved it because of how many people he let die. To catch you all up, a man
who runs an insurance agency goes out of his way to make sure people are not
covered so he makes more money. He denied Jigsaw money and treatment for his
cancer so Jigsaw hated him and it is also shown a man who was denied health insurance
for heart disease because when he was very young, probably my age actually when
he had oral surgery which he neglected to tell him so he wouldn’t cover him
because oral surgery can somehow lead to heart disease. So yes, I am comparing
Romney to that man because of his beliefs on health insurance and how not
everyone has the right to have it affordable and be healthy. Oh no! You say I am
wrong and Romney wants that and his plan does have it affordable? Well, no sir
or ignorant child that lives down the street from me whose family’s political
signs just got stolen and is part of the stupid tea party which is one of the
many things that is wrong with this country, are wrong considering Romney’s
plan doesn’t. He doesn’t give a damn about people who are low income; he even
refers to them as the poor. If I was a poor person, I would prefer to be called
low income instead of poor during presidential debates, it would make me feel
better about myself. Oh and by the way ignorant little boy, Fox “News” isn’t real
news. It is actually banned in Canada for that very reason. Go Canadians!
Last but
not least, the economy. That is a tricky subject for me since I am just fifteen
and don’t quite understand everything about the economy and the deficit and
stuff like that, but dude, you ant just expect Obama to fix everything in four
years after George W. Bush took eight years to kill it. And your precious
little “Mittens” claims he can fix it in 8-10 years. So don’t have a bitch
attack on Obama because he didn’t fix it in four ignorant boy down the street. Also,
Romney doesn’t give any detail on how he will fix. And don’t give me the “what
the hell are you talking about crazy Obama lover, he has this five point plan.”
He won’t freaking elaborate on it! So please understand that Mittens doesn’t want
to help us. If he did, he wouldn’t lie all the time, and wouldn’t be shipping
American jobs overseas to China so he can be richer.
So to
end a very angry blog entry on why I would vote for Obama, I will recap the
reasons, he is for LGBT Rights, Woman’s Rights to fair pair and to choose, doesn’t
want to go to war with Iran, and believes that everyone has the right to be
healthy. Not to mention the things he has done in the past three, almost four
years he has been in office, such as ending the war in Iraq, bailed out
Detroit, lowered job loss, fought for clean air and not to mention, OSAMA BIN
LADIN IS DEAD! (YAY FOR JUSTICE AGAINST TERRORISTS) This is all thanks to Obama who
definitely deserves a second term and should beat Mittens in the election on
Tuesday.
I am a pretty hardcore fan of Three Days Grace. I heard of
them through a friend and fell in love with their music; Never Too Late helped
me through one of the hardest times in my life. I plan on getting “it’s not too
late, it’s never too late” tattooed on my ribcage, but besides that, I love
them and their music. It would be amazing to see them live.
One X is my
favorite album, a lot of the stuff on that album Adam wrote while he was in
rehab for his drug addiction. I used to have an addiction. Slicing my skin open
with a blade for an emotional release. My favorite songs off that album are
“Pain,” “Riot,” “One X,” “Time of Dying,” “Never Too Late” and “Animal I Have
Become.”
Not too long ago, I discovered the band Skillet while listening
to the Black Veil Brides Pandora radio station. I really like them and their
sound, so when I was at Target looking through the CD’s and saw their album Awake; I just had to buy it. The song
Monster is the second track. Upon hearing it, I couldn't help think of Animal I
Have Become. The lyrics were very similar.
Animal I Have Become starts out as “I can’t escape this
hell/ so many times I tried/but it’s still caged inside/somebody get me through
this nightmare/I can’t control myself”
Monster starts out with “the secret side of me/I’d never let
you see/I keep it caged I but can’t control it/so stay away from me/the beast
is ugly/I feel the rage/and I can’t control it/it’s written on the walls/in the
closet/in the halls/it comes awake and I can’t control it/hiding under the
bed/in my body/in my head/why won’t somebody come and save me from this/make it
end”
It may not be too similar but I still can see connections.
Adam talks about going through Hell and he can’t escape while Skillet singer,
John Cooper talks about not being able to control himself and it’s his dark
side. There are similar lines. “I keep it caged by I can’t control it,” “it
comes awake and I can’t control it” and “I can’t control myself,” then “why won’t
somebody come and save me from this” and “somebody get me through this
nightmare”
Now, going into the chorus, Animal I Have Become goes “so
what if you can see/the darker side of me/no one will ever change this animal I
have become/help me believe/it’s not the real me/somebody help me tame this
animal/this animal/this animal,”
Monster goes “I feel it deep within/it’s just beneath the
skin/I must confess that I feel like a monster/I hate what I become/the
nightmares just begun/I must confess that I feel like a monster/I, I, I feel
like a monster/I, I, I feel like a monster
This isn’t as similar as the first verse, but I still see
connections. “This animal, this animal” and “I, I, I feel like a monster/I, I,
I feel like a monster” “I hate what I become” and “no one will ever change this
animal I have become”
Next verse
“I can’t escape myself/so many times I tried/but there’s
still rage inside/somebody get me through this nightmare/I can’t control
myself”
And “my secret side of me/I keep it under lock and key/I
keep it caged/but I can’t control it/cause if I let it out/it’ll tear me
up/break me down/why won’t somebody save me from it/make it end”
More similar lines, they both start out nearly like the
first verse, Adam is trying to hide being an animal while John does mention it
being “secret side of me” and that “it’ll tear me up/break me down” but both
want “somebody to get me through this nightmare” or “somebody save me from it”.
Now, going into the third verse, Three Days Grace doesn’t
really have one, “somebody help me though this nightmare/I can’t control
myself/somebody wake me fromthis
nightmare/this animal/this animal, this animal/ this animal”
And Monster goes “its hiding in the dark/its teeth are razor
sharp/there is no escape from me/it wants my soul/it wants my heart/ no one can
hear me scream/maybe it’s just a dream/or maybe its inside of me/ stop this
monster”
Not that similar, but Monster talks about it being a dream
while Animal I Have Become talks about it being a nightmare but both are asking
for help.
Now when it comes to the music, there are also similarities.
Animal I Have Become starts out with one instrument, then
adds a guitar and then another. Monster starts out with one guitar, and then
adds the drums and when John starts to sing, another guitar is added. I don’t
know much about music. I can only play Mockingbird by Eminem on the piano and
Remembering Sunday by All Time Low of the guitar and got a C+ in Music Lab at
my school but I think the music parts are pretty similar. I think the
progression of the sound is similar though.
The last thing I am going to look at is the music videos.
Animal I Have Become starts out with the band playing and flashes to Adam in
his room lying in his bed before getting up and looking in the mirror and
getting dressed and going onto the streets of Toronto. His reflection in the
windows is a monster with piercing red eyes. He continues to walk and bumps
into people but keeps going. And doesn’t look back. His next reflection looks
like a demon version of him. Next he is in a bar and bumps into more people
before reaching a table and putting his head down and attractive women comes
over and puts her hand on his back to see if he is ok, he looks up at her and
she then has a demonic face. Adam then flips out and wakes up in his room which
is trashed. When not following Adam’s story, you see the band performing in a
room with red walls.
Monster starts with John strapped to a gurney with a bandage
wrapped around his head but one eye is not covered. Doctors are around him
watching and trying to sedate him and keep him down, but John is able to break
free and rip the bandages off his face. Then you see John’s wife and bands rhythm
guitarist, Korey being pronounced dead and a sheet being put over her face. Her
eyes then open and she shoves the sheet off of her and jumps up. The doctor
calls for assistance and you next see her and John running through the halls of
the hospital being chased by SWAT.
Although the videos don’t match, a lot of the lyrics do. So
is it safe to ask, did Skillet copy Three Days Grace, or is it a coincidence
that the songs are very alike?
